Arum alpinum

Out of stock

Its dark green leaves (appearing in late winter), pale green spathe, and tawny spadix recall A. maculatum, but the tuber of this rarely offered and highly garden-worthy species differs from lords-and-ladies in being upright rather than horizontal. Despite the specific epithet, it is usually found at low altitudes, and takes readily to most semi-shaded garden niches. Modified continental/Mediterranean; Europe. Zone 5.
