This rarely offered and highly desirable relative of C. solida produces (in this case) long spikes of large, curving, purplish-pink blooms above clumps of blue-green leaves. Given its native range, it should be well adapted to areas such as coastal California and the Pacific Northwest. But it also seems at home (and increases well) in our less than moderate winters (and summers). Mediterranean/Montane; S Italy. Zone 6.
