The large white chalices of this supremely beautiful and rarely offered alpine meadow dweller appear at the beginning of the fall crocus season, in late summer. Give it a humus-rich soil that stays moist throughout the growing season. We have literally but a handful of corms. Montane; Caucasus to N Turkey. Zone 5.
