Lapiedra martinezii

Out of stock

Clusters of fragrant white flowers resembling miniature paperwhites pop up in late summer on 12-inch scapes. The resemblance is not incidental: this monotypic genus is in fact closely related to Narcissus. Handsome clumps of strap-shaped leaves with silvery midstripes appear in fall and senesce in spring. This rarity is native to rocky habitats in southern Spain and northern Morocco. Mediterranean; W Mediterranean. Zone 8.
