Tulipa greigii ‘Sunset’ (‘Saulriets’)

Large, glossy, brilliant golden-yellow flowers are marked at their centers with crimson flames that narrow into midstripes toward the tips of the pointed, arching petals. The glaucous leaves show hints of maroon striping. A show-stopper, originating in Berkara Gorge, Kazakhstan, and selected by Janis Ruksans. Steppe/Montane. Zone 5.
