Crocus ‘Blue Fog’ (Chrysanthus hybrid)

The incomparable Crocus ‘Major’ (aka Crocus biflorus ssp. alexandri) gave rise (via seed) to this beauty, whose outers are almost completely enveloped by deep violet-blue feathering.  Everything else is white, except for some charcoal shading in the flower’s throat.  Zone 4.
