Large white flowers with backswept segments and tawny-orange, maroon-stippled centers arise in late winter and early spring above rosettes of mahogany-green, olive-dappled leaves, giving the appearance of an especially robust, especially choice form of Erythronium dens-canis. As with many plants from the Caucasus, this rare treasure favors a humus-rich soil and moderate summer temperatures. Modified continental/Montane; Caucasus. Zone 5.
